Christine Gordon – A Woman With Altitude!
Gryffe HillWalking have been very proud to have the late Christine Gordon as a member of our club for many years.
Christine was a remarkable woman who completed 1699 mountains in her life.
After spending around 20 years climbing all the Munros, Munro tops, Furths, Corbetts, Grahams, Donalds and Nuttalls, a moment of ‘what next?’ led Christine Gordon to spend the next 18 months climbing all the plus-2000ft mountains in Ireland. She is the first recorded woman to complete the challenge. Christine also published many articles on her international travels through Cicerone Guides.

As a fitting tribute to Christine our club presents a trophy to the newest club member to complete all 282 munros.
